About Jenny
I’m Hastings-born and bred, and still live there, so feel that I have an excellent local knowledge of the region and Rother district. My only break away from Hastings was when I went to King Alfred’s university in Winchester where I gained a 2.2 Honours BA in Public Service Management in 2004.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at university, and learned a lot from the modules that focused on how government services are provided and managed.
After graduation, I worked at Hastings Borough Council on the central admin team, performing a varied role and seeing at first hand how local authority services are delivered. This gave me valuable experience for my current role with Verdant when I joined the company in August 2007.
I’m really enjoying my role as a behavioural change officer, and time is flashing by. I look forward to visiting schools and community groups to help promote the concept of reduce, reuse and recycle.
Outside of work, I am a volunteer neighbourhood mediator, which is both interesting and rewarding. I provide a free impartial service as a neutral third party to help resolve neighbour disputes over noise, boundaries, pets and behaviour.
